Curlew Waterfowl Management Area Water Control Structures

Purpose: Previously known as Blackhawk Duck Club, the project at Curlew Waterfowl Management Area includes replacing and upgrading all water control structures on the property.

Benefits: The upgraded structures will help to restore the hydrologic regime to make better habitat for birds, control the water level to improve habitat and control invasive plant species, and also allow for DWR to spray invasive plant species more effectively.

Timeline: Estimated completion in 2025.
